How can we help you today?

What is the difference between sensitive skin and sensitised skin?

Naturally sensitive skin has a lasting fragility. Sensitised skin goes through a period of temporary sensitivity, often linked to external factors. Normal, combination or oily skin can therefore also become sensitised from time to time.

How do you recognise sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin may show redness, tightness, feelings of heat or discomfort. It reacts more strongly to certain factors such as changes in temperature, stress or the use of certain cosmetic products.

Is there a Sothys professional treatment for sensitive skin?

Yes. The SPA™ Thermal Water Soothing Professional Treatment was specifically developed to support sensitive skin. After one treatment, a 25% reduction in skin sensitivity* was measured.

Your Sothys beautician can analyse your skin's needs and recommend the most suitable treatments to extend the benefits of the treatment at home.

* Test on 20 people after 1 soothing professional treatment in the treatment room, demonstrated by stinging test.

What is the difference between the Sensitive Skin range and the anti-redness Dermo_Booster treatments?

The Sensitive Skin range addresses feelings of discomfort and skin sensitivity more broadly. The Dermo_Booster duo Comforting Ampoule + Ultra-Comforting Cream more specifically targets skin with occasional or permanent diffuse redness.

The choice therefore depends on your skin's main concern: sensitivity and discomfort, visible redness, or a combination of both. What is the difference between the Sensitive Skin range and the anti-redness Dermo_Booster treatments?

What results can you expect from Sothys treatments for sensitive skin?

After 30 days of twice-daily use of the Soothing Melting Fluid or the Soothing Velvet Cream, 80% of women consider their skin desensitised and more comfortable day after day*. A 61% reduction in skin sensitivity* was also observed by stinging test.

* After 30 days of twice-daily use on 40 people: 20 people using the Soothing Melting Fluid and 20 people using the Soothing Velvet Cream.

Which routine should you adopt for sensitive skin?

Favour gentle treatments suited to your skin's sensitivity. Start with make-up removal and toner, then apply a soothing serum, followed by a cream suited to your need for comfort. A soothing mask can regularly complete this ritual.

The Sothys range with SPA™ Thermal Water was developed to support these different stages and help protect, soothe and balance sensitive skin.
