Sothys was founded in 1946 in the wake of the new wave of French aesthetics, at a time when professional skincare was establishing itself as a profession of expertise.
Acquired by the Mas family in 1966, the House has developed based on a philosophy of legacy and independence. Year after year, it has built a model faithful to its roots, yet always focused on innovation.

In Auriac, Corrèze, the Jardins Sothys™ embody one of the House's most unique expressions. Created in the family village, they reflect a deep-seated conviction: nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Spanning 4 hectares of botanical gardens and 26 hectares of woodland park, this site—certified as a "Remarkable Garden"—fuels Sothys Advanced Research. The local biotope has inspired the creation of exclusive active ingredients, several of which are patented and developed in accordance with the principles of green chemistry.
